Terms of participation

These terms apply to registrations for the ENFIT Mehrweg Summit 2026. Please read § 5 in particular — the cancellation scale.

As of 11 September 2026

§ 1 Scope and organiser

These terms of participation apply to registrations for the ENFIT Mehrweg Summit 2026 on 27 October 2026 in Bad Mergentheim, including the separately bookable networking dinner.

The organiser and contracting party is ENFIT e.V. International Association Supply Chain Safety, Grüne Straße 5, 49610 Quakenbrück, Germany, registered in the register of associations at the local court of Osnabrück under VR 201614.

Deviating terms of the registering party apply only where ENFIT agrees to them in text form.

These terms do not apply to registrations for the ENFIT general assembly on 28 October 2026; attending it is free of charge. They likewise do not apply to sponsorship and partnerships, whose services are agreed separately and in writing.

§ 2 Registration and conclusion of contract

A registration submitted through the form on this website is a binding offer by the registering party to conclude a participation contract.

Immediately after submission the registering party receives an automatic confirmation of receipt by email. It confirms that the registration arrived, not that it was accepted, and it is not an invoice.

The contract is concluded only once ENFIT confirms participation in text form.

Places are allocated in order of receipt. The total is capped at 130 people on site. ENFIT may decline a registration; no costs arise for the registering party in that case.

Where the registering party registers further people, they warrant that they are entitled to pass on those people's names.

§ 3 Prices, rates and payment

The prices shown on this website at the time of registration apply. All prices are net and subject to statutory VAT where applicable.

The reduced member rate requires membership of ENFIT e.V. to exist on the day of the event. ENFIT verifies membership before invoicing. Where no membership exists, the regular rate valid at the time of registration is charged; the registering party is informed before invoicing and may then withdraw the registration free of charge.

The early bird rate applies to registrations reaching ENFIT up to and including 30 September 2026. The regular rate applies thereafter.

The invoice is issued after the confirmation of participation and is payable in full within 14 days of the invoice date, and in any event before the event begins. Payment is made by bank transfer to the account named on the invoice.

No payment takes place through this website. No payment data is collected.

Statutory provisions apply in the event of late payment. ENFIT may make participation conditional on prior payment.

§ 4 What is included

The summit ticket includes participation in the programme of the event day, catering during the event, the organised transfer to the site visit and the site visit itself.

Travel, parking and accommodation are not included. Participants arrange and pay for these themselves.

The networking dinner on the evening of 27 October 2026 is not included in the summit ticket and is booked and invoiced separately.

Changes to the programme are reserved insofar as the overall character of the event is preserved. Replacing announced speakers, changing the schedule or moving individual rooms give rise to no right of withdrawal, reduction or damages.

§ 5 Cancellation by participants

A cancellation requires text form; an email to info@enfit.eu quoting the reference number is sufficient. What counts is when the cancellation reaches ENFIT.

Cancellation scale

Received up to and including 30 September 2026: no cancellation fee

Received from 1 to and including 10 October 2026: 50 % of the participation fee

Received from 11 October 2026, and for no-shows: 100 % of the participation fee

The scale applies equally to the summit ticket and to the networking dinner.

Where the invoice has not yet been issued, the cancellation fee is invoiced. Where it has already been issued or paid, it is corrected accordingly and any amount overpaid is refunded within 14 days.

Instead of cancelling, a replacement attendee may be named at any time up to the start of the event, free of charge. An informal message in text form is sufficient.

The right to terminate for good cause remains unaffected.

§ 6 Cancellation or postponement by ENFIT

ENFIT may cancel or postpone the event where holding it becomes impossible or unreasonable for reasons ENFIT is not responsible for — in particular force majeure, official orders, the short-notice loss of indispensable speakers or too few participants.

Where the event is cancelled, participation fees already paid are refunded in full. No further claims exist, in particular none for travel, accommodation or loss-of-work costs.

Where the event is postponed, the registration continues to apply to the replacement date. Anyone unable to attend the replacement date may withdraw free of charge within 14 days of the new date being announced; amounts already paid are refunded.

§ 7 Site visit

The safety and hygiene rules of Mehrwegkonzepte Service GmbH and the instructions of its staff on site apply to the visit. The schedule and the rules are communicated in advance with the confirmation of participation.

ENFIT and the hosting company may exclude from the visit anyone who does not follow those rules or who endangers operations. No claim to a refund exists in that case.

Taking your own photographs, video or audio recordings during the site visit is permitted only with the express consent of the hosting company.

§ 8 Photography and recordings by ENFIT

Photographs and video are taken during the event for the association's reporting and public relations work. Separate consent is obtained on site for recognisable portrait, interview or promotional footage.

An objection to the use of recordings can be sent informally to info@enfit.eu at any time.

§ 9 Liability

ENFIT is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health.

In cases of simple negligence ENFIT is liable only for breach of an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance the contracting party may regularly rely. Liability is limited in that case to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.

Liability is otherwise excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

No liability is accepted for cloakroom items or belongings brought to the event.

§ 10 Right of withdrawal for consumers

For contracts on services connected with leisure activities that provide for a specific date or period of performance, there is no statutory right of withdrawal under § 312g(2) no. 9 of the German Civil Code. ENFIT takes the view that this exception applies to the Mehrweg Summit because the event takes place on a fixed date.

Irrespective of this, the cancellation rules under § 5 apply to all participants. Cancellation is free of charge up to 30 September 2026.

§ 11 Data protection

Which details are processed at registration, who they are transmitted to and how long they are kept is set out in the privacy policy of this website, in the section “Mehrweg Summit registration”.

The names of further participants are processed solely to manage attendance at the event.

§ 12 Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers habitually resident in the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of their state of residence remain unaffected.

Where the contracting party is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is Osnabrück.

Amendments and additions to these terms require text form.

ENFIT is neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.

Should any provision of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
