Why this cinema is the right place
Daily cinema waste turned into a reuse mission.
This is where Sven Döding's path from cinema operator to reuse pioneer began. A look into the full auditorium shows why a concrete waste problem grew into a professional reuse system for cinemas and other sectors.
Every evening it bothered me how many single-use cups and popcorn buckets ended up in the bin after just a few hours. That is why I switched my cinema to reusables early — and that conviction later became Mehrwegkonzepte.

Practical notes
- Registration is binding. Seats are allocated in order of receipt and the total is capped at 130 people on site.
- Cancellation is free of charge up to and including 30 September 2026, costs 50 per cent of the participation fee from 1 to 10 October, and is not refunded from 11 October. Instead of cancelling, a replacement attendee can be named at any time, free of charge.
- Travel, parking and hotel booking are arranged and paid for by participants themselves.
- The transfer schedule and the safety and hygiene rules for the site visit follow with the confirmation of attendance.
- Photographs and video are taken during the event. Separate consent is obtained for recognisable portrait, interview or promotional footage.
Sponsors and partners
The ENFIT Mehrweg Summit is a curated professional event — not a classic trade fair. Partners position themselves early as active contributors to a safe European reuse infrastructure. The number of visible partners stays deliberately limited.
Credibility is not negotiable
- No bought talks and no influence on the content of the programme.
- The speaker role and the sponsorship are agreed separately.
- No participant data is passed on without explicit consent.
